ADDITIONAL COVID HEALTH & SAFETY MEASURES FOR CLIENT SESSIONS

As the pandemic continues, we are aware of the need for caution in how we operate, in order that we can protect clients, their families and THH staff.

We will continue to monitor government guidelines and comply with their recommendations.

We are unable to cater for clients in “Clinically Vulnerable” categories due to medical conditions or age.

We prefer clients to be double-vaccinated and to have had a booster dose, unless there are extenuating circumstances.

We require clients who are experiencing symptoms or who believe they may have been exposed to the virus to inform us as soon as possible and to not attend sessions until they can show a negative PCR test and have completed a period of isolation if required, before resuming their THH programme.

Please note:

  • All staff and visitors will maintain at least one metre’s distance as far as reasonably practical, unless safety concerns have to take priority

  • All activities will take place outdoors. If it is necessary to spend time indoors masks will be worn and other measures adhered to such as ensuring good ventilation and social distancing

  • All equipment and surfaces will be washed/wiped with anti-bacterial spray before and after sessions

  • Facilities for hand washing are available on arrival and departure and at any time during a session (hand sanitiser will also be available)

  • You will be asked to listen carefully to, and comply with, any instructions or requests made by staff in the interests of everyone’s safety. (If the client is under 18 years of age and in the care of a parent or guardian, please discuss with THH staff if you feel they will not be able to comply with safety instructions.)

Symptoms of Coronavirus:

High temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)

New, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)

Loss or change to our sense of taste or smell – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal.
